The Florida Department of Education has awarded the 2011-2012 Golden School Award to Wesley Chapel Elementary. This award is given annually by the Florida Department of Education to recognize public schools with exemplary volunteer programs. Hours donated in all forms of volunteering, i.e. mentors, tutors, advisors and advocates, are to be included.
Wesley Chapel Elementary has also been awarded the prestigious Five Star School Award for the eight year in a row. This award is presented annually to those schools that have shown evidence of exemplary community involvement.
