The Physical Education Staff of Wesley Chapel Elementary School will be sponsoring the 10th annual Wildcat Walk-A-Thon on Thursday, November 15, 2012. The proceeds from this event will be used to purchase physical education equipment including new basketballs, gymnastics equipment, and fitness/club activities.
The students will be walking for 45-50 minutes. The Walk-A-Thon will take place on the P.E. field during the following times:
Grades 3-5: 10:30 – 11:30 AM
Grades K-2: 1:00 – 2:00 PM
The students will be rewarded for the following: Students that donate $50 or more will attend the Popcorn Festival. This includes free popcorn for each student as well as outside game activities including basketball, bowling, hula-hoop, soccer, kickball, tetherball, and jump rope. Top Class (social for the class who walks the most laps – K-2 and 3-5). In order to reach our goal, we are hoping each student can submit at least $20 or more from their sponsors.
Attached you will find a pledge sheet. Students may begin seeking sponsors as soon as possible. STUDENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO GO DOOR TO DOOR TO ASK FOR PLEDGES. Students are asked to write each sponsor’s name and the donation amount on his/her pledge sheet. The number of laps completed during the Wildcat Walk-A-Thon will be recorded on a lap card. This will provide verification of actual laps completed for the sponsor. Students may begin turning in their pledge sheet and cash donations on November 1, 2012. All cash donations should be turned in to the school by Wednesday, November 14, 2012. All donations must be made in CASH. Sorry, NO CHECKS are accepted.
